Uganda Change Agent Association (UCAA) is a countrywide association of development workers (Change Agents) who are committed to propagating the self-reliant participatory development methodology.
UCAA is a non-sectarian, non-religious and non-political association that does not discriminate in its membership on the basis of gender, ethnicity, religion or political differences. UCAA believes very strongly in the principles of accountability and transparency.
OBJECTIVE
Human resource development for Rural Development Workers and Community Leaders (Local Councilors and leaders of development groups) through training which provides them with communication and facilitation skills, analytical skills (poverty analysis, gender issues, development theory, child advocacy, feasibility and viability analysis), leadership skills, group fund management and bookkeeping skills.

Our aim is "to enable rural men and women initiate and sustain their own self-reliant economic, political, and social development processes in order to improve their standards of living".
Therefore, Uganda Change Agent Association holds the vision of standards of living in poor rural households improving through the self-reliant participatory efforts of members of those households.

Uganda Change Agent Association's mission, therefore, is to ensure that rural men and women are able to initiate and sustain their own self-reliant social, political, and economic development processes. Trained Change Agents can effectively promote self-reliant participatory development processes in poor communities.
